Ann Manov is a first-year doctoral student. She received her B.A. from the University of Florida, where she majored in English, French and Francophone Studies, and Spanish, and minored in History. Her thesis concerned anti-liberation thought in post-1968 France, particularly in the writings of Jean Baudrillard and Michel Houellebecq. The following year, she was a Fulbright English teaching assistant in Strasbourg. She is interested in 20th- and 21st-century literature and theory, comparative literature, cinema, and cultural dissemination.
