Laura Jensen

Laura is a fifth year doctoral candidate currently in residence in Paris at the École Normale Supérieure and Sciences Po. Her dissertation, “Writing Race and Universalism: Marie NDiaye and Bessora,” is expected in the spring of 2017. Her research interests include contemporary French and Francophone literature, the relationship between text and image, and theories of race, gender, and universalism. Laura is an enthusiastic teacher with experience leading seminars in Francophone literature, and French language classes from beginning to advanced levels.
