Hannah Freed-Thall is an Associate Professor of French Literature, Thought, and Culture. She will be speaking about her current book project, The Beach Effect. This book examines the modernist seashore as a precarious commons, zone of ecological transience, and site of queer encounter. Professor Freed-Thall’s lecture will be followed by a response from Morgane Cadieu, Associate Professor of French at Yale University.

The event will take place in person, at HQ Room 136, up to 20 people. It will be simultaneously streamed on Zoom. HQ Room 134 is reserved for event over-flow, to watch the Zoom. The Zoom can be accessed from anywhere. Register to receive Zoom link here.
