Andrew Curran, the William Armstrong Professor of the Humanities at Wesleyan University, is a scholar of eighteenth-century France and a non-fiction writer. His journalistic writing has appeared in the New York Review of BooksThe New York TimesThe GuardianTime Magazine, Newsweek, The Paris ReviewEl PaísFolha de S. Paolo, and The Wall Street Journal. He is also the author or editor of six books.
