Louise Moulin receives the Society for The French Historical Studies Farrar Memorial Award

April 15, 2022

Graduate Student Louise Moulin received the French Historical Studies Farrar Memorial Award in support of her “outstanding in-progress dissertation” entitled “Why Print Drama in Early Modern France?”

“Moulin’s research combines insights from Performance Studies with those drawn from scholars of print culture and book history as it explores the printing, publication, and circulation of French playbooks in the long seventeenth century. Promising to make use of textual, paratextual, and material forms of evidence, Moulin’s project impressed the committee by its archival ambition, chronological breadth, and truly interdisciplinary framing.”

Congratulations, Louise!
