French Embassy Center of Excellence Grant

The Yale French Department, as a French Embassy Center of ‘Excellence,  is happy to announce that it has been selected to receive a  grant in support of the “Mapping Post-War Networks” project , a collaboration with the Yale Digital Humanities Lab, led by Yale Professors Alice Kaplan, and Christophe Schuwey, Connecticut College Robyn Pront, ‘18 PhD, with contributions from Walid Bouchakour, and Jeanne Sauvage, doctoral candidates.  The team is constructing a network map based on an index of signed and unsigned articles published in Combat from 1944-1947, combining collections of data and making them accessible for research. The mapping will offer a unique strategic tool to study a complicated corpus of hundreds of authors.
