Louise holds a M.A. in French Language and Literature from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. There, she investigated the influence of economic and political factors on 17th-century Parisian theater, and grew increasingly interested in quantitative and digital approaches to literary corpora.
At Yale, she intends to pursue her exploration of Early Modern literature. She especially aims to better understand how the circulation modes of texts affect their form, content, and reception. Other research interests include the ways in which depictions of gender, sociability, and politics interact with and contribute to the shaping of the context in which they emerge.
